Calming cup of tea
I like to drink both the Pukka Night Time tea and chamomile tea at night as both are very effective in making me sleepy. I have a cup of tea either in the evening or in bed before I sleep. The only trouble with drinking it whilst I'm watching tele is I often fall asleep on the sofa but at least it works!
Products
The This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray and This Works Deep Sleep Stress Less are great little products. The scent of lavender is a very relaxing scent so with the pillow spray the scent is directly on the pillows where you are breathing it in. The rollerball you put on your wrists and I also have put a little bit on my temples too. I keep them on my bedside table and use them most evenings before I go to sleep.
Reading
I really do find reading before I go to bed has helped me sleep better. I used to wake up through the night at least twice but since I started reading a bit before bed this has not happened. It really helps me switch my brain off from all the thinking its doing.
Things to avoid
As well as things that you can do to help you sleep, there are a few things that you can avoid doing to help you sleep to. Avoid going on your phone once in bed or at the least don't make it the last thing you do before you go to sleep. I have found that when i've been on my phone just before I sleep my mind is busy with what I'm seeing on social media or on a game I'm playing that it can't rest and thats when i find that I don't sleep well. Another thing to avoid I would say is eating lots right before bed, it means it is harder to digest in turn keeping you up with possible discomfort.
Thanks for reading.
