MY TOP FIVE DESERT ISLAND PRODUCTS

I've seen this post on quite a few blogs and wanted to share my top products that I would have to have with me on a desert island.

First up, with out fail, it would be a lip balm. I constantly have a lip balm on me whether it's by my bedside table, in my handbag or in my coat pocket. The worse thing is having dry lips and no means to hydrate them. The one I've chosen is a Nivea lip balm in chamomile and calendula. I don't believe this one is available in the UK as I purchased this when I was in New Zealand. Although it's scented it isn't very strong so not overpowering when wearing it. It's great for sensitive and dry lips and very hydrating. I much prefer lip balms in stick form rather than in a tub like the Nuxe Reve de Miel, i do love this lip balm and it is great for applying at night for an intense night mask but for day to day use it is much more convenient and easy to use a balm in a stick.

Onto another hydrating product, a hand cream would defiantly need to come with me. Just like lip balm I carry a hand cream round most places with me. The Nivea Pure and Natural hand cream has been a favourite of mine for a few years now. It's very hydrating, leaves your hands feeling very soft. The best thing with this hand cream is that it doesn't leave your hands feeling greasy afterwards.

A makeup item I would have with me would be concealer and one of my favourites is the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. Its creamy formula is great for blending and I find it covers up dark under eye circles and redness really well. Another makeup product I would take is a mascara. Adding a bit of mascara really opens up the eyes and the Maybelline Lash Sensational makes my eyelashes look more lengthened and gives more volume. Just these two products is all I sometimes where on a day to day basis.

Lastly a moisturiser with an spf would need to come along. Not only will it keep my skin hydrated, it will protect my skin from the sun. My moisturiser of choice is Origins A Perfect World SPF 25, it has a silky smooth texture when applied to the skin and with its light formula it feels lovely on the skin.

There's my round up of my top 5 products that i would take with me to  desert island. What's yours?

S.
