NEXT ON THE TO READ LIST

SUMMER READING

I am a big crime/psychological thriller fan when it comes to book genre but only recently. Having always watched a lot of police detective and crime television programmes I thought why am I not reading books in this genre too? So I started!

Out of the stack of books I have to read, three of them are in that genre, Nicci French's Tuesday Gone, Sharon Bolton's Little Black Lies and Before I Go To Sleep by SJ Watson.

I read a sample of Before I Go To Sleep a while ago on my kindle but never got around to reading the book. I am not sure why as I really enjoyed the sample. I am expecting this book to be quite a thrilling and mysterious read and I did pick up on that in the sample. This has also been made into a film which I haven't seen yet and I always prefer to read the book first before watching the adaptation on screen.

I have seen great reviews about The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt and although it's still reviewed to be a thrilling page turner it isn't the crime book I normally reach for so I thought I would give it a go so that I can broaden the variety of genres I read.

I've just finished my latest book, Behind Closed Doors by B A Paris, so I am picking a new one to read and as long as I don't get distracted by Amazon and choose one on there, (this normally happens!)  one of these will be next.
