DIY: Shelves

Since moving house I have been really getting into DIY. One of the projects I have competed are some shelves for the bathroom.

I was searching for quite a while for some shelves to go in the bathroom to house all my skincare but was coming up short. I had quite a clear image in my mind of what I wanted so eventually, after someone mentioned to me, my boyfriend and I decided to make them ourselves.

We got some untreated wood from the DIY shop and used the free cutting service to cut the wood to the right size.

We used a wood stain to darken the wood. We did three coats to achieve the finish we wanted.

 The brackets were from the DIY shop as well, I really like the black against the stained wood.

I am very happy with the outcome of this little project. I think they work very well in the bathroom and round it off nicley.
